Steering Rack boot replacement

    Hey so I need to replace my steering rack boot. I have been basing my project on these two pages http://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech/jowie_psboot/jowie.htm I have a question: do I need to take of the tie rod ends to take off the boot, someone was saying that I dont have to. But I have been trouble separating the tie rod end from the other end where the boot is (having trouble describing this so I hope you catch my drift). Any suggestions? Thanks
