I also don't remember having to drill the sleeve & did not have any loose fitting pieces. Mine was a quick & straight foward install but then again I did mine on a lift when I worked at a shop.

I did mine in 2005, I can't imagine Wheeler's to have "old kits" still on the shelves these days. Do you have p/n 8.10103? 8.10101 would be for 95.5-00.

You probably did not hear from him because Wheelers is closed on Friday. I am betting that they will take care of the problem as soon as they hear from you.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting a reply till monday. Ill give him a call monday morning.
Im going to have to just drive my mom's suburban down to socorro for school tomorrow. Should be fun with no AC or radio:D.
Lesson learned, never tear into a project on the truck if Im going to absolutely need it anytime soon. You never know what will go wrong.

Yeah, yours look like they actually fit correctly. Those are sway bar bushings on the left right? I didn't bother replacing those.

I did & it made a noticeable difference. My sway bar bushings was seperate from the steering rack bushings. The sway bar bushing kit that I got also included end link bushings like for an aftermarket rear sway bar which of course I did not/could not use.

Im just going to go with the rack bushings and weld up the slip yolk in the steering column for now to get rid of the steering slop. I hate how the column rattles over small bumps.

That's the most important & I would say a necessity. I only did the sway bar bushings cause I used to work at a shop & got everything for wholesale. I was the installer/mechanic so I did everything on the lift in one shot. Damn I miss having access to the shop, at least I still have all my tools.

yeah everything fit pretty snug. i figured while i was down there i'd knock out the sway bar bushings. i did notice a difference after i replaced everything. i could'a done the swaybar bushings in my sleep compared to steering rack bushings. cheap upgrade and worth it

Well I already took the old ones out of the rack and they look terrible. Sooo mushy and soft.
