    Good evening folks!

So I was out wheeling one day recently and got hung up on a tree stump. Long story short, my steering rack is now dumping out any fluid I put in, and will most certainly need to replace the rack and pinion.

I'm not sure if the wheeling I was doing was a directly related to the problems I'm having, but either way it's got to get fixed :(

So my question to you pros, is there anything else I should consider replacing while I'm attempting this task?

Toyota has told me they have ordered me a new frame, and I'm still waiting for it to get delivered for them to start the frame replacement. I called them the other day and they are still saying the frame is on backorder, but hopefully soon.

I've been toying with the idea of picking up a rack and pinion assembly and holding off to get them to do the work while they do the frame, but to be honest they havent given me a timeline and I can't really be without a vehicle for months at a time. This is my daily driver.

Anyways, just thought I'd ask your advice first. Should I purchase some other parts at the same time before digging into this job?

(For what its worth, I'm Canadian sourcing the parts in the USA and will be driving to Niagara falls to pick them up).

    Thanks!
