I'm not going the route of getting a larger bolt anymore, but instead following what @Sandman614 did. Larger sleeve and a set of washers that do not drop into the sleeve itself.

The first issue with the whiteline kit is that the sleeve itself drops into the hole in the washer, as this reduces the overall length. Secondly, they give you two half sleeves and not a full length sleeve. The 3mm gap that is supposed to be there is gone once the bolt is fully torqued to spec. This makes the overall length even shorter! So, you end up tearing the bushing lip/flanges right apart after you install the original design and hope you line up the washers to drop into the sleeve.

Whiteline on the left, my new setup on the right.

Whiteline sleeve dropping into washer on left vs sitting on top like it should.

Overall length as it would be when fully torqued down and installed. The left whiteline side is missing the 3mm gap in the center that should be there, but isn't because it is not a solid full length sleeve. It is also missing height because the sleeves are dropping into the washers.

The ONLY reason I am wasting more time on this is because I spent money on this whiteline kit and they sent me new replacements under warranty.

Anyone swap bushings on their 2015 4x4? Can you confirm the energy part number that worked for you? Thanks!

Anyone in 2022 tried to install the W13400 bushing. I ordered the LCA bushing last spring, everthing was on sale and i had a discount code too so i bought the steering rack bushing. But seeing some post where the length and washer of the kit is an issue worries me.

I didn't installed the steering rack bushing yet, i want to upgrade the cam bolt tab gusset (the oem bended last alignment) and i'm waiting for the Total chaos kit to be delivered to schedule my local 4x4 shop to do all the work since both of these job will require an alignment. I don't want to waste theiir time and my $$$ if there some issue with the kit, I can always buy the energy suspension kit but it still $$$ when i already have the Whiteline kit for the steering rack.

How can i know my kit is ok or not ? Bought it directly from Whiteline so if there was a problem i assume this is fixed in 2022 if they had some problem and did some RMA ??

To anyone who search this information, i asked Whiteline directly and this is the reply. Look at the date on the bag and this will tell you if it's an updated version.

"The tubes and washers were updated in this kit most recently in June of 2021. Your kit has a January 2022 batch date and should be part of the updated design.

Grease is not needed for installation on this bushing kit which is why they are supplied without any.

Just came here to point something out that seems to have been missed so far. Did you all notice that the OEM rack mounting bolts have a shank that is thinner than the threaded part? THAT is why your racks shift around with these poly bushings. They are still much better than stock or ES.
IMO, the best solution is to ream out the new sleeve from whiteline and the frame bosses to accept a 1/2 grade 8 bolt. That can be torqued to your heart’s content (suggest 120).
Bam! No more steering jitters, clunks, and the rack stays put so the steering wheel stays centered.
