When I first got my truck I noticed that I could turn the tires much farther to the right than to the left, almost 20 degrees farther. I took it to les schwabb and they told me I had a steering rack leak.

I asked them if it was repairable and they said that the only way to fix a leaky steering rack is to put a new one on, which they were kindly willing to sell me for almost $800! I find it hard to believe that the leak isn't around a seal or some other repairable part. Is there no way to fix a steering rack leak?

I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.
