Just got a new steering rack installed from a shop not even 20 days ago and the actual shaft has popped out of the rack itself. (Or is about to)

I was reversing out of a parking spot at Home Depot and my front end made a weird noise and my steering wheel is now sideways to go straight.

Taking it straight back to the shop. I know most of these racks are re-manufactured but I have never seen a rack where the actual shaft is almost about to pop out.

    Good catch! But...

don't you mean... "taking it crooked back to the shop?"

Sorry for the lame joke. Hopefully you are having it towed -- this looks super dangerous. Good luck!
