out of nowhere, starting having a nasty squeek when i turn to the right, not the left. I got under the truck and put my ear right next to the steering rack and thats def where the noise is coming from. was wondering if anybody else had this problem and might have a solution. Hoping to god the entire steering rack does not need replaced......

If its not the inner or outer tie rods than its the rack and its not that hard to change out and yeah the entire rack. Fluid full?

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I did three on my old 95.5 over the years. Unfortunately rebuilding them was not really a viable option for me at the time, it was my DD and I needed it rolling.

It sounds like there may be a small leak within the rack itself. Have you drained out the old fluid and put in some new stuff? The viscosity could be junk after *10 years of only being topped off. If that doesn't help and you have the time you may want to pull it out, rip it apart, and replace all of the seals/o-rings/gaskets.

Replacing it isn't the end of the world, just a minor pain in the @ss. Plenty of info here on TW to step you through it. All said after alignment about $400 out of pocket.
