Steering Wheel Audio Control Button Lights

Does anyone have experience with the lights on the control buttons only working only intermittently?

2007 TRD Sport

 

It could be in the spiral cable.
My 07’ had a recall on the spiral cable.
Maybe yours does as well. It’s worth a call to the dealership to see if it is, or it has ever been done.

No need to replace something, if the dealership will replace it for you?

The issue wasn’t for the radio, but the controls for the radio button go through the same cable.

I’ll see if I can find the Recall.

Agree with TnShooter. Almost a sure thing the spiral cable is intermittent open circuit for that function. Soon it will also include the horn and cruise control...
