I installed a cheaper touch screen head unit in my second gen and the only button on my steering wheel that works is the mode button. Does anyone else have this issue? How can I get the other buttons to register to the head unit so it can learn them? Already pulled apart the wheel and the buttons and wires seem to be good... Thanks!

Audio forum might be more helpful.

In the meantime, did you get a wiring kit with the new unit to activate the steering controls?

Places like crutchfield let you know all the parts needed to make specific units work on specific vehicles.

Amazon and fleabay usually do not

Thanks for the welcomes, I didn't realize that I would need a wiring kit, I'll check it out! Thanks again!
