Got it....... Getting back to the CS. I was just checking yours out, in the photo, the one to buy on Amazon. So I bought it, but its giving me all kinds of of FFF trouble. The Screw holes do not line up, The right side are just off by a hair. the left side more........ Also yours is yellow, this one I bought off Amazon is green and one of your instructions was to line the small insert and the larger insert from the CS, to the CC, and it should snap / click in . Well I have the small insert but no Large insert on this CS. ????? Very strange ----Also I did grind the back of the CS down flush, that help a little Do I have the correct one, maybe that's why the screws holes won't line up. Also I thought I had the right CC, if you can take a look at it for me, I really don't want to Mod my old one, just in case this project, Crash & Burns........Have to put it back together ahhhhh Thanks ... All check the wires for you in the Moor.

measure between all 4 screws holes on your column and compare to the White Sequoia mount. Or better yet does the the new CS line up on Sequoia bracket?

Just bought the one off eBay........ Should be here in a few days.......add $$ it to the total project. It is what --it - is. Moving on '''''''' to the om numbers. So since I have the steering wheel off, system is tore apart. What location do I take the readings, do I need to plug the connector back into old clock spring, and hook the steering connector back up? so I can take the CC readings ? or from the white connector to the ???

I did ck the Tundra/Sequoia Mount: Well maybe, another option ;;;;;;;;;; Take my old Mount off----Use the Sequoia/ Tundra mount it looks like the CS does fit. also it looks like the mount will almost fit on my steering wheel rack, the top 2 screws are align, bottom 2 are way off, will see if I can fab a metal bracket to fit the bottom holes for the mount. Lets just say I make it fit. The beast would be to match all the wires to each Stick - component, lights, turn signal, wind shield wiper etc. Remember, my old sticks, are hard wire right into the Taco steering harness located way into the Old Tacoma's wire abyss, hahah- dammmmmmmmm. Have to buy the white connectors, look that up, plumb the wire's into the connector's, then match all functions of each stick to the pins in the connectors....find the wire diagram for the year, make model. also, the cover to the steering wheel rack, will my old one fit, have to ck that one, the plastic covers. More electrical shit, that I'm not sure if its worth it. Last Resort---Is it doable ????? It would be one hell of a 1st Gen Tacoma MOD

I have the plug and pigtasils for the turn and wiper switch for a Sequoia. I can start looking at rewiring the new switches. The Ebay CS should have both sets of tabs but the holes aren't going to line up to mount it. What if you had a thin ring that woyld mount to you original mount holes. then screw clock spring to it. I'll draw up a pic.

Something like this. Thin metal. I'm thinking a washer for the bottom side of a kitchen sink drain would be the correct size. The critical think would be getting the CS centered. Screw the ring to the mount and the CS to the ring.
Another option: Would a newert tacoma steering column bolt into your truck? Still have wiring to do, hmm I know who to ask. I'll find out. adapter ring.jpg

Ok here are the readings... Going to take the steering module, off, just for the hell of it, see what is back there.!! Got some diagrams today of all the electrical systems for my Taco and the Tundra 2004. Again not that good with electrical, but trying. Question concerning the pins, lets just take a look at the left side, which is the head light switch/ turn signal switch, for the Tundra module I have. I counted 15 pins in that dam unit... On the diagram is shows 5 wires, the turn signal diagram only has 3 wires. where do all those other FFF pins go ????/ Or I just can't read a electrical diagram . ;(

Thank you very much .... Color codes......New Clock Spring should be here Thursday. Removed my column switch, and found some more challenges......... but again, this is my 2nd option if we go down that road. I like your option about the steel ring. Any who'' I was wondering if I can get the back plate, that supports the steering column switch module, I know I can fab one, but maybe if someone has a extra one in a Junk yard. It would make the match - up so easy, just keep adding parts, Dammmm Its the only part I'm missing, I have the SW, CS, Air Bag, Column SW Radio/ Phone controls. If I can see a photo of it, a Tacoma, or tundra and the years it would match ''shah'' Looking at both column switches, you can see the many diff's, mount holes do not line up, the sticks are at a different angle, length width, almost the same, thickness also, diameter of the hole same. The plastic cover, for the column are a little diff also. but can prob mod the old one, or just get a used one off eBay. lots of photos, Your Thoughts ????????

I'll be at my buddies house tomorrow thats has a shitload of used Tacoma parts. I'll pull a coulmn apart and look at that mounting bracket and an 2004 switch setup. I was looking at the wiring diagrams today. The newer switchs can be wired to work on your truck. If thats the route it ends up going. I can get a column harness and use my left over Seqouia pigtails and make a harness that should be a plug and play.

I like the carbon fiber dash. Did you do that yourself? Is it sticker or actual carbon fiber mat?

Kool, Good Luck, I found a few on eBay, just to see how the Tacoma/ Tundra's are put together, I think this is the plate, has two bolts to secure the plate onto the steering stock, just like mind, and it looks like it will bolt right onto the column Switch.... not sure about the length....
