STEERING WHEEL POP??

I have 01 4wd taco and sometimes when i hit a bump and the steering wheel is just right it pops like there is something loose?? I have checked everything and the only thing i can find is the shaft above the knuckle thats down at the floor inside--you can move it in and out a little?? ANY SUGG

Well i finally did it and WOW what a difference it makes!!! Now its like when i go over speed bumps or pulling out of some parking lots when the front susp. compress there is something popping and it feels like its in the left front area????? any sugg!!!!!!!!

 

I had this steering shaft mod done, it helped as well as the tc bushing rack kit. I still have the pops a noises when going slow out of drive ways and such. I believe it is thr steering rack. I got a new one from TG but just sitting on it till I definatly need it.
