levelling kit, 275/70/17 BF Goodrich KO2 tires,
I've poured through this forum regarding my steering wheel shake and can't come up with where to start with this. The Toyota dealer employs Captain Obvious I'm pretty sure cuz they were no help on the phone so I'll see if any of you guys have the same issue.

I have a 2016 Tacoma Sport with 45,000 kms on it. I just went to Kal Tire and had 275/70/17 BF Goodrich KO2 tires mounted to replace the shitty 265/65/17 stock tires and also had a 2" levelling kit installed. I had to also install a ¼" spacer on the front wheels to avoid rubbing.

The truck drove like a dream before but now shakes and vibrates at 80-95 kph, but only sometimes. I've read about the steering rack bushing upgrade but I'm not sure if that's for the 3rd generation Tacos. I've also heard about the adaptor for wheel balancing Tacoma wheels of which the dealer had never heard of.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Seems to me your new tires needs to be balanced again. I'd take it back to where they were installed and tell them to recheck the balance and also the install of all the components.

I've had 1 K02 that was out of round by a good amount, so much so that it would never balance, had 3 separate shops balance them before I looked into it myself and relized it was out if round. Jack the the truck so the tire is half an inch off the ground or so and rotate by hand, listen for the tire coming into contact with the ground at all

Ko2s can be sometimes hard to balance, I steering shakes a little at 50-55mph, I thought it was my lift but im going to try road force balancing tires next.

Also the 1/4 spacers can be giving you a problem as we'll, could be something between the spacer/hub, spacer/wheel causing it

Did you get the tires and leveling kit done at the same time? Or did you start feeling this right after the tires? FYI.. I have mounted and balanced brand new tires and the the road force was to high, wouldn't balance. the balancer would show "0" as if it was balanced, but when you drive the ride quality sucked! had to get new tires! sent them back to the manufacturer. Go back to how put the tires on!

    Stock wheels?
    Spacers are hub-centric?
    Everything torqued correctly?
    Can you post alignment numbers?

Also check lugs for proper torque, some tire shops just use an impact and crank them down instead of spec.

Take the 1/4" spacers off, you probably have nothing centering the wheel on the hub. If that is not an option you will have to go with BORA or Spidertrax spacers. I think BORA has Tacoma 3/4" hub centric spacers.

America's Tire, is the only place I have balance my tires. KbrO2's can be hard to get right if you are a lazy tech.
