Steering wheel shaking during braking

Once the wheel shaking happens pads don't matter. Rotors are toast.

Turning is 'a' cure. But it can often be cured w/a good abrasive cleaning and either rebeding the existing pads or properly bedding new ones.

If you use the same pads (used or new), and the same driver uses the vehicle in the same way, the problem will likely return - not a true cure. In other words, the pad compound doesn't work well for the demands placed on that vehicle. As was stated in the StopTech article (it's the one that you didn't read), uneven pad deposition can cause front end vibrations under braking, and uneven pad deposition is often the result of a less than optimal friction material being used.

OEM pads are often selected for minimal noise & dusting, not for their braking performance. "Racing pads" are usually a poor choice for street use since they typically don't work well at lower temperatures. For your wife, I'd look for some more aggressive aftermarket options designed for street use. They may create a little more dust, but their improved performance may meet her demands better without leaving uneven deposits on the rotors.

Alright, well I'm going to go drive my wife's car... which had a problem you say doesn't exist... which I fixed using a method you say doesn't work. But you CTRL+C'ed and CTRL+V'ed, so you must know what you're talking about.
