I just installed new wheels and tires on my truck. I put Goodyear workhorse AT tires(265-75-16). I’m getting some shaking in the steering wheel on the highway. The wheel does not shake on straightaways only on curves. I never had larger tires before. This is also my first AT set of tires.

Is this normal for bigger new tires?

The truck was not lifted it is stock suspension. I’m not sure on the torqued part I had a shop install them.

lol if you didn't have a shake with old tires, and now you do with new tires, chances are high it's the tires. Take it back and have it rebalanced.

Goodyear is notorious for out of round or unbalanceable tires.

Buying Goodyear crap is usually a lottery I lose

They've lost me as a buyer forever

Leveled with Bilstein 5100 shocks, Kumho AT52 265/75 tires, Redline hood struts, R4T tailgate lock, Matt Gecko LED strips in bed and under hood, WeatherTech hood guard, OEM bed mat, Husky floor mats, Carhart seat covers, Grille replacement with Toyota letters, Sony AX6000 replacement head unit, OTT lite/mild tune, and an occasional splash of fuel additive.
I have larger tires, Kumho AT 265/75/16s and no shake. I also have bilstein shock lift installed. No shake. Either a bad tire or messed up balance.

Go back to the shop and have the tires road force balanced.

Likely a bad balance job. One of the wheels might have thrown off a weight in the first few minutes of driving if they did not affix it properly.

Road force balance for the win. tells you if there is a tire or wheel issue. if your shop cant road force balance, find a shop that can. it is the only way to go to insure there are no tire, or wheel issues. Ski
