    We use to have those knuckle busters on the steering wheels of our 55-56 Chevys. They were very cool, with one arm around your girl and one hand on the knob...... until the dang thing came loose.....then not so cool..... they whacked your fingers and you just about broke your girls neck grabbing for the wheel:annoyed:

    I've only met one person who uses one of these. They broke their wrist and it started as a temporary thing, but they liked it so it stayed. Her and her dad told me it was illegal in CA because kids were using them drive recklessly. It always sounded fishy to me. Now thanks to this thread I know it's not true.

    They called it an "easy rider." Might have been that particular brand name, but that was the name I thought they went by.

    Ahhh ye old suicide knob.. My pops ran equipment all his life so I thought these were the coolest things in the world as a toddler sitting on his lap steering the loader. Good times good times.

    I'm surprised no one presently uses one. Maybe I'll start the trend!

    Funny, I just watched RIPD and Jeff Bridge's uses one in the movie. Makes me want it even more.
