so I remember seeing a list of Toyota steering wheels from supra, celica and others that will directly fit a 1st gen Tacoma. I'm looking to swap in an older one with no airbag. Can't seem to find a list or thread about this. Anyone have a link to this or any info. Think it wa on ttora or customtacos but can't find it

not sure if the ECM needs to "read" a good airbag to let it run or not, pretty sure airbags disable your ignition so not having one may act the same way

My clock spring is broke and airbag light has been on for a while. Also unplugged the airbag sensors too. Don't think that's a problem. Seen a few 1st gens that swap supra wheels without airbags. Just can't find the thread.

IIRC it will run but the airbag light will stay on...either way you can wire in a resistor to work around it if you're running a non airbag wheel
