I need some help.... I have a 2002 tacoma pictured... I want to change the steering wheel out for one like what is on the new tacoma leather
Does anyone know if this can be done... or another suggestion... I have tried all the wraps and don't like how big they make the wheel...
and how they look. And with no wrap... the wheel is slippery and it drives me crazy. I want to still have the air bag work, don't care about stereo buttons. I have looked and looked and I have not found anything that will work with the air bag
I would really appreciate any help.

The problem isn't the steering wheel but the airbag connector on other Toyota wheels. They are not all the same.

Thanks for the response, i really appreciate the help. Can I splice the connector off my current steering wheel and adapt that? Or find a steering wheel with the connector from the steering column and then wire that in?

I'm not going to say you can because I don't know if the airbag will blow up in your face or not. I'm sure you could just pop the pins out of the plug and use your old one.

SAME HERE! The plastic on the ring grip is no longer securely attached to what I think is a metal ring inside the grip of my steering wheel on my 99 Tacoma. Dealer price for a replacement Leather Wheel is $700.

    OME and worth every penny.
Pretty sure a leather one from a Sienna will work.
