Not sure if all were aware as I was not but the steering wheel in my Taco tilts & telescopes. I read this on another post. I went out to mine the next morning to validate what I had read & yes it was true. I did not know that the steering column telescopes. Please excuse my ignorance but if anyone does not know how to do this, disengage the tilt lever & pull the steering wheel
    1. out or in
    2. up or down. :D

I knew it tilted, but didn't know it telescoped.... but then again, I think mine is the whole way OUT anyway.

Thanks for the tip!!! I'll have to try that this morning!

I don't remember seeing that listed on the build sheet....

Honestly, I don't remember seeing this in the owners manual either.

The dealer told me this when I bought my 05. I thought it was a pretty cool thing even though I rarly use it.

I didn't know for months. Then one day I was giving the interior a good cleaning and I saw a lever still wrapped in plastic so I pulled on it. It surprized the heck out of me when the steering wheel dropped. :p

Not only does it drop, it pulls out! Spouse has one less topic to complain about.

If it would telescope out another inch or so, it would make the driving position a LOT more comfortable for me.

The one that got me was the little pull-out snap card/key holder on the left of the steering wheel in the dash. Didn't find that gem for months.

I'm pretty sure mine doesn't telescope.

Edit: Nevermind. IT does telescope. Awesome!

you probably figured it out on accident while you were trying to mod in a telescope to it.

Do you speak of the small combo pop-out tray / fuse panel cover, or some other feature I have yet to discover?
