Steering wheel trim loose?

Sorry, IMHO it's not normal...and it's a safety issue. You could easily snag a shirt sleeve on that edge while turning and lose control. They should sit flush. If they don't they are either not attached properly or warped.

 

If only it was that easy. Yes, i thought about this haha.

I did search about this here before I created a thread. I didn't see any comments about it.

 

I'd be more concerned about the airbag. They haven't been recalled yet, but airbags seem to be a problem latter on down the road.

 

I have that exact same piece loose on my steering wheel. 2022 Sport AC.

 

Same piece on mine has the slightest give. I wouldnt even say its loose. I can feel it just barely move every so often. Good to know Im not the only one, but at this point it doesnt bother me. If it gets worse, then AG trim pieces will be ordered. No way Id bring it in for warranty on this. Im sure they would mess it up worse than it already was. Id just watch the vid and upgrade myself.

 

Thanks for confirming. We all drive a 2022, so it may just be 2022 that are affected.

Kllrbee, I feel the same. Dealer might just put gorilla glue on it instead of getting us a new piece.

 

Weird. I just noticed this today for the first time. Does seems like something might be a little loose.

 

AGT really looks good although after looking into upgrading the trim piece, I came across a steering wheel upgrade with real carbon fiber :

I don't think I'll shell that kind of cash for a steering wheel but just want to share.
