Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has had the same issue as I have. I started getting a pretty bad wobble in the steering wheel and thinking it was just a tire out of balance I took it to a local shop and had them road force balanced as I usually do. It didn't fix the issue, but the shop did tell me that I had a high spot in one of the tires. The tires were the set that were on the truck when I bought it (315/75/16 BFGoodrich A/T). So I said what the hell I will go ahead and get a new set they were about 1/2 worn anyway. I bought a brand new set just like what I had and had the front end aligned, which was off just a tiny bit but not bad. I thought the issue with the wobble would be cured by the new tires and the alignment but I was wrong, it still had the wobble. It would always occur between 40-60 mph every time. My next move was to have the tires rebalanced so I took it back to the shop where I had bought them and said I still had the wobble so they road force balanced them this time, which before they hadn't when they first installed them. Got it back and it was still there so my next move was to try a set of the extra long lug nuts from Wheeler's Off Road to make sure the tires and wheels are centered on the hub and axle but that didn't help either, also tried the hub centric rings too, didn't help. My next move was to check the front suspension and steering components and I found that the driver side CV axle had quit a bit of slack in it where it met the front diff, which seemed excessive to me, so to be safe I climbed under my wife's 4runner and checked to see how much slack if any it had on the CV axle and it was nice and tight. So this morning I dropped it off at the Toyota dealer to see if they could figure out what the problem is and I informed them of the wobble with the old tires and the new tires and the slack in the CV axle. I'm hoping they can figure out what the problem is and hopefully it will be covered under warranty if it is a bad bearing in the diff.

Has anyone else here experienced this problem? How did you fix it?
