Sounds about right...if you have a 6" lift then chances are that you have modified or aftermarket leafs. They'll only replace the leafs if they are stock.

Sorry, 2 years later.. I love bringing back thread from the dead! I have a 6" lift. Called the dealer to get leaf springs replaced under the recall. They told me I need to remove the lift in the back of the truck so they can put the new springs on like it was stock. I also asked if I could just bring them the springs, and they just give me the new springs in replacement, but they said that's too much liability, understandably. So I removed the blocks and the shocks, had to buy stock U-bolts cuz I threw the originals away. It was bouncy and awkward driving the truck to the dealership with the back dropped 6", and no shocks. But in the end, free springs!

Hey ChuckWW3! Great info! I think i'm a bit late though, that article says they are doing the driveshaft replacements until April 2019. Has anyone heard of this program being extended? Or has anyone had this replacement done free of charge? You would think they would just make it a recall. Why put an expiration on whether or not they will replace your crappy driveshaft?
