I'm disgusted with all you guys who have factory lockers with side steps.

It helps my son get in the truck and will help my other one when he is able to climb in by himself. This truck will not be offroaded for quite some time. I have an Xterra for that. The Tacoma will replace it in 10 years.

Why is that? Is it a clearance issue?

clearance, and if you want an example for how well your steps will do offroad use them as a point to jack up the truck.. use a rag between the jack not to scratch them though, that last part isn't a joke, i'd do the same with sliders so I don't have to touch them up with paint.

Edit: btw do not jack your truck up by the steps.

My truck came with Predator steps. They look awesome, but dependents on your height whether they work for you though. I am 6' tall and felt they weren't in the right spot for me to use but the kids loved them.

Took them off after a week and have them on CL.

@PHLinPHX Thanks! They look great! Do they stick out enough to save from door dings? If so, I think this is my next purchase.

I'm hoping so! ha, they stick out enough to block the average sedan I think, but another truck would have no problem dinging my doors. This was one of two main reasons I bought them. The second reason being I wanted protection against shit flying against the paint from the front tires. I installed mud guards, but still had a lot of stuff kicking up to the point where I actually have some small dings on the front half of my rear fender liners. I put tire shine on my wheels and this is also where the shine would sling off and land on the paint. Hoping this solves both problems, but overall very happy with the fit, the look, and the price. Bonus - I dont need a step stool to wash my roof anymore lol.
