Running boards deff work. I have 35k and no door dings and even got side swiped once. I got out and thought the side was gonna wiped out.but only had a small scratch from ripping their mirror off and tire marks down the running board that buffed out.

Guys sliders are just to much money considering my use for them , I'm trying to find some 3" black tube steps but I can't find a set that's specific to the dbl cab and long bed.

Most just specify dbl cab . Can someone point me in the right direction ?

These are the steps that I put on my DCLB. They look good, but do not help in parking lots. Best price I found.

Sliders will help with this; some more than others. I purchased some bolt on sliders from Famous Fabrication during their Black Friday sale. They will meet my needs for protection OR and parking lots. If not mistaken BAMF and Avid Off Road have total bolt on as well. Avid is much less expensive, but threads on here have stated they are not as durable OR as others. Look at the vendors on the left of the TW homepage to find them.

By the time you throw money down on a $180-400 tube step (yes they get that high for example the n-fab steps) you could go ahead and get sliders around the same ballpark (towards the $400 end) and have a MULTIPURPOSE heavy-duty rock rail for that one day you decide to see what your truck is really capable of.

The parking far away has never worked for me as some jackass always seems to be magnetized to my truck and parks right next to me. Maybe they think I am a careful person since I parked so far away and they want to be next to me, who knows. Most of the time I park right next to the cart return unless its overflowing, because most lazy ass people who put carts on burms aren't right next to the return.
