I'm about ready to install a 300 amp alternator I purchased from Ebay to do a Big 3 upgrade with all 0 awg power and ground wires for a 3000w comp amplifier with 1000w rms to power two 1000w rms 12's but, I'm thankful for these pics and write ups

Thanks for this thread. Original post helped me out today.

note: 10mm ratcheting wrench would have made removal and reassembly of that wire bracket much easier for me.

will grab a set the next time I’m at Lowes

One more note: I’m new to working on Tacomas, and struggled a bit with the wire connection until I took a closer look and saw the clip on the right side of the connector.

Popped it right off once I found that. Glad I didn’t snap the connector when I was trying to muscle it off.

press the tab and it slides right off.

Anyone able to comment about removal with Genesis Off Road battery kit? Clearly the batteries need to come out but if I have to remove that dual battery tray, I’m gonna lose my shit. They way I have it reinforced with some 1/8” steel plates was a bitch.

Looking at the battery kit install video Genesis put out, definitely needs to come out. That lefthand side is entirely blocking your access.
