Do you guys have any recommendation for a step for loading the bed, when tailgate is down?

For my search I found this product only
    https://www.autoanything.com/hitch-bed-accessories/69A5284A0A0.aspx

But I can't tell if I need the standard or the XL version. It stays, that standard might not work for underbed spare tire.

    Appreciate the help.

I think the OEM bed step is much better. Flips down or back up with your foot, don’t have to put on or take it out. Cost a little more but love mine.

That is on side of bed only, right?

The bolts are a little hard to get loose, I used a breaker bar and that made it easy so if you have one it will help.

Install isn’t too hard but you will need a long socket extension and a torque wrench. You’ll be removing and reinstalling the two bolts that hold the bumper frame on so I’d suggest the torque wrench.
Also agree with the breaker bar to remove those bolts.

That’s a good point, I should have said the step is molded plastic with only the center in supported, and I was expecting a full metal support with a rubber cover like a pedal type. It’s sturdy but you want to put your foot toward the center and not the very outside end. If you are stepping up with a heavy load then you may indeed want to go with the design you were looking at (depending on its rating). The OEM step is primarily just for you stepping up onto the bed.

Well when I do that I don’t carry the box and step up with it, I set it on the tailgate and slide it in. :D Then just step up into the bed when you want to slide your boxes forward.

I added a bed mat to the truck, first time I owned the mat. Then I realized, now I can't slide my boxes on it :annoyed::annoyed:

    On your '21 you shouldn't need WD40. I didn't when I put one on my '16 in '16
