What's up TW! After peaking over the fence for the past week or so, I thought I would say hello. There is a ton of knowledge here and a lot of trucks that make me grunt when I look at them. I just sold my '01 TRD and bought a '10 Prerunner with just over 19k miles on it. I've got a fairly decent tracking list at the moment and awaiting the arrival of tires, rims, roll cover, and a pop & lock. My biggest concern at the moment is one that many have here and that is: tire rub. Hopefully, there won't be any of that. Take it easy on me, this is my first forum to join. Oh, and I will be selling these tires and rims once I get my new ones mounted.

I haven't researched how to create a "my build" page yet. So I'll throw in my new mods from this past week here.
Truck Covers USA is rock solid on their American Roll Cover
The new Pop&Lock 8521 (from autoanything.com) works great! I def recommend hooking it up to the passenger door lock and installing a sponge to keep it from rattling when you close the tailgate.
Picked up some 18" 2009 Limited 4Runner Rims from oemparts123.com
Wrapped them in BFG 275/65/18 tires and bought them from online tires.com
Next on the list is selling my rims and tires and finding a painted rear bumper and stereo upgrade.

I ran the wiring to the passenger side kick panel because it requires you to hit the unlock button twice to unlock the tail gate just like it does for your passenger door. If you wire it to the driver's door the tailgate will unlock every time you hit the button. It is also easier, like you said, because there are fewer wires to sort through. I believe the instructions that came with the 8521 were incorrect as far as color of wire to tap into on the 2010 Tacoma. I tapped into the blue wire with black stripe and the blue wire with the red stripe right at the plug. It is a super easy install and took me about 2 hours just because I took my time.
