Liking the look/function of N-Fab and Smitty steps, and need something for the little lady. However, at $3-400 I'm expecting more than a powder coated step bar; that's slider territory all the way.

So is there an option out there which lets me use the hi-lift, and acts as a true step that comes down from the frame rail height? (sliders which are at frame rail height wont work for me, need an actual step)

Are the N-Fabs or Smitty's stronger than I realize, and can be used in this way? Other suggestions? Pics are always helpful also. Thanks in advance.

Anything that is mounted to the cab holes wont be strong enough to hi-lift. (nfabs, step bars, tube steps, etc) Need something that mounts to frame, weld on or bolt on sliders IMO. SOS makes some removable steps for their sliders. See link below, some pics in the first or second post show the steps. Others may do as well, not sure of who though. Ive got the bolt on sliders and they are tough as nails and are hi-liftable. Not sure of your location, try to find a vendor close by to save on shipping. SOS is in SC.
