I'm going to be offering a simple but strong round steel tube style step for the people that don't want the length and cost of a full blown rock slider. They will cover only the driver door area and have options like a smaller piece of tubing that hangs downward to step into, or a plate style step that's possibly diamond plate, or something with upward facing holes to aid in traction.

I'm not sure if there's anything currently available in the style and strength of this new idea that came to me recently. The price will be about $180 or so.

So I see you painted one white to match your truck. Can we match other colors too ? Need pics of it mounted. Will it bolt on easy ?

The white one went onto my wife's Avalanche to replace her fugly fat low hanging steps that are all too common on those Chevy's. Robert just installed his Beefed rock sliders and will most likely be posting pics in his install thread, here is the link. Now that I have jigs that will allow me to build the sliders, I made them so I can also make a simpler style step for the 05+. I'll make a pair soon and make a thread. I have access to powder coating, but my experience is most people try to save money and just get them bare, since shipping has to be considered too. But I'd be happy to have anything coated for someone.
