Stereo and/or ground point

I have a problem that I cant figure out. I have an aftermarket stereo that I installed myself and a few months after I started having this problem. Intermittently the stereo will lose power, the airbag light will show "off", and the airbag light will show up on the dash all simultaneously. Within a few minutes the stereo will come back on and things return to normal. Could this be a stereo and airbag light wire both connected to a loose ground point?
