I just installed a new head unit and CD player in my 08 tacoma. I wired everything up and remounted the head unit. I turned the power on and "nothing", the display on the stereo wont come on; its acting like there's no power but the eject motor will come on like its powering up.

The other problem I'm running into, is my clock will not come back on either. I've tried trouble shooting and I'm kind of at a loss of what it might be or what I set back up wrong.

I would really appreciate some second opinions on this.

    Thanks.

Had similar issue when I installed a LOC and kept my stock HU. I put everything back together and radio lit up, but no clock or AC control lights. They still worked though. I found out the connector that plus from the stereo harness loom into the clock and airbag row was loose. Perhaps it is only the ignition that isnt working. Check that plug and make sure nothing is shorted and also check your "illum" orange or ignition wire. Could be a short somewhere.

sounds to me like your deck is getting constant dc power (yellow wire) but not ignition power (red wire)
