So when I start my truck the stereo screen will be in negative for some time, could be 5 minutes, could be an hour. Then it will flicker for a bit and go to normal. Anyone know of a fix other than replacing the whole unit?20210515_210555.jpg

There are a few really knowledgeable people on here. If it can be fixed I’m sure someone will know how but in my experience that kind of thing generally means it’s time to replace.

You are much too kind. My dealer has recommended Crutchfield to solve my stereo failures. My next yota is going to have no stereo installed at all.

Sounds like a bad solder joint. Probably repairable with time , skill and patience.

Not worth the Time, Skill or Patience. In my opinion.
