Is the sonic beat amplifier the only upgrade option available to improve the sound? I have the standard non jblt system. I just want o know what options are available before I go down that path. I didn't see them carrying a subwoofer. Do we need to change speakers or the factory ones are ok?

I installed a Beat-Sonic amp in my 24 Pro and absolutely love it!

I found out that if you change your treble/bass setting on the Radio Source, it doesn't automatically change the settings for all sources. You'd have to go into each source to change how you like. Otherwise, it is set at factory default 0 across the board (i.e. Bluetooth). Either way, an upgraded amp would help out a lot as all the reviews have shown and can't wait to get mine done as well.

That's excellent to hear. Is anyone messing with speakers etc. Or stock is reasonable? I am not looking for the truck to bounce but the sound is pathetic now

I don't know the thread but someone has a Google photos "diary" of what they have been doing. Lots of work and info about the audio system.

I don’t believe I need any more improvements other than the Beat-Sonic amp. It’s such a huge improvement over stock!

Skeptical on this bc I thought amps are supposed to have a manual bass/treble adjustments on it? These look fixed. But I guess anything is an improvement on the factory jbl junkers

Trust me….it is a huge improvement for only $300. And I am not connected to the company in anyway. Just an honest review.

Let me know if you order one. I had a difficult time finding room for the amp. The space they recommended (right side) didn’t work for me. I had to place mine in the back center of the dash and tilted at an angle. Once I did that, I was able to slide the entertainment screen in.

I have 1 ordered after watching the videos on you tube , just have to watch where you plug in the white connector from the amp to radio.

It really is an easy install. I was super nervous about scratching the dash somewhere as the entertainment screen is bulky and heavy. Put a towel down to rest it on while you do the wires. That, and be sure to have a really good grip on it while you slide it out.

On the amp, I also turned my front speakers up to “2 o’clock” and my rear speakers to “1 o’clock. I wish I woulda turned my rear speakers up to “2 o’clock” also.

Like I said above, I put the amp in a different place that they recommend. I put it in the center of the dash as far back as I could get it. I had to angle the amp a bit to get the entertainment screen to slide back in and “click” into position. I could not get the amp on the right side as suggested by the video. It just wouldn’t fit.

Lemme know if you have any questions.

You got it, I haven’t began to turn the jbl up yet. Still breaking in the speakers.

I just received the sonic beat amplifier. It took me about 1 hour to install as I was extra careful not to damage or scratch anything. I kept the settings at 2 o'clock as suggested and I think it sounds much nicer for sure. I want to set the right expectation though, it now sounds like it belongs in this vehicle because previously the sound was pathetic. However, let make sure we keep the expectation real. If you raise the volume any higher than 40, you start to hear the limits of the speakers. It is a reasonable upgrade in my opinion and easy enough to do.

Thanks for this. Usually when someone spends that kind of money they really want to make it sound like whatever the upgrade was it was awesome maybe to make their spend feel justified. Your description is exactly what I figured it would be and without really changing out all the speakers it wasn’t going to be awesome like others have said. Cheers and thanks again for a real review.
