I have an 09 with the JBL system. Looking to replace the headunit with a touchscreen and apple car play. My head unit is starting to go crazy so its time for something new. Ideally I can just swap the head unit and maintain the JBL system. I don't want to spend too much, just a nicer head unit.

Anyone recommend a shop or even a member who might want to do it for cash.

    Thanks
    Erik

    Too much to list.
    Hey Erik,

With the new kits and everything available for Audio gear. This really is a super simple DIY situation these days.

"PAC" and iDataLink both make an adapter for your year make and model, that will allow you to hook into the Factory JBL system & retain the steering wheel controls, if the radio you get supports that option.

You can call or go online to Crutchfield, and have them step you through what you'll need. And of course, if you're not comfortable doing the Install. Let me know. I'd be more than happy to help.

Audio Images in Burlingame have been there for years, and do real clean work. Swing by their shop, and talk to them to get a better idea of pricing.

I actually called them yesterday and they were very informative and helpful. Will make my way down to go talk to them and see if they can set me up.
Thanks man, if I don’t get the shop to do it I may hit you up to assist me.

Well I ended up purchasing a Pioneer Avh-1330nex with harness, kit etc from Crutchfield. Had plans to install myself but have been so busy I took everything to Audio Images after work yesterday. Jeff is a cool guy and installed it all in an hour. Only thing he didn’t do is hookup the factory rear view camera to the deck. It’s still in the mirror, which I may end up leaving anyways.

The deck with CarPlay is great and I should done this years ago.
