    Thanks guys.

I think there isnt much traffic because its not really a "build" thread. Just a few simple bolt ons and OEM+ stuff.

Welp. Ive got some more updates.

I finally fixed the hardware on the Bestop with new stainless stuff. Every rivet was loose and looked like this -

    8C5D1764-90E3-45AF-A54A-A7F8C0134A71_zps_6b6b33cc56ddfcc65d59105913a24de55b2f5d9e.jpg

    Changed to this -

My FJ TRD center caps showed up -

Finally got around to installing all this shit -

Got it aligned to factory specs, rides like a new truck.

I ditched the 4x4 mudflaps in favor of a trimmed set of Pre Runner mudflaps -

Picked up a set of these -

Im happy with the front height. The rear needs to come up more.

And lastly, Im pretty sure Im not happy with the wheel color. Im 90% sure Im going to repaint them a more OEM silver.

    Cheers

Uhm. Not much to update on...

Ive been spending most of my time fishing.

In October, I ordered a set of CBI ditch light brackets and a set of Cree LED pods and installed them.

Yesterday, on a fishing trip, I snapped this picture

Uhm... Not much to update since last November...

I replaced the 3 leaf springs with a set of TSB springs. Truck rides much better now.

I replaced the 2 worn front tires and got the truck aligned again.

Ive been working on small things to make the truck more camping friendly but thats about it. Other than that, I dont have much planned other than raising the rear of the truck up a bit more, wrapping the roof in matte black vinyl, and some other little things

Heres a few random pics -

    Last week -

Built and installed 1/2" rear block. Super simple. I had the old spring laying around, so I cut them up to make the blocks -

After putting some miles on the truck with the lift blocks, I noticed a little bit of a hum right around 60mph. Carrier bearing I assumed. So I fab'd up some carrier bearing drop shims.

Simple, I used the same scrap springs once again -

Killer build man. Very clean, very tasteful. I love sticking close to oem, but adding enough of a twist on it to make it unique. Question. Can I see a better look at your lights in your Supertop? I'm about to do that to mine and I remember you saying you ran them through the frame of the top? Anywho, rad truck good sir!

Popping in for a couple of questions for you, well maybe more than a couple. I'm getting together my list of stuff i wanna do this year to the truck and you did all of them in your thread lol

Did you leave your overload leaf in when you installed the 3 leaf AAL?
Did you run into any issues running the 3 leaf AAL with 5100s in the rear?
Where did your order our LED roll for the bedlights?
And lastly, do you know what brand your 30" LED bar is? I really like the out put of that.

Also, i'm pretty sure i passed you the other day. It was dark so i'm not 100% sure, it would have been Friday night. I passed a tacoma on Riddle Run Road and i thought man that truck looks familiar.

I work up there, so probably was. Yellow fogs? If it was around 5:30, it was me. If not, there's a silver Sport with a Bestop on it that I see from time to time but it's all stock save for the top.

I have the TBS springs with the overload still in place installed, so I have a total of 7 leafs and the block.

No issue with the 5100s, but I try not to / never have a reason to flex the rear out completely.

The LED rolls come from Amazon usually. I like the 2835 LEDs the best. They give off the most light.

The light bar is a cheapy Amazon bar. I can't remember who it came from at this point.

But I've had luck with this company as of late.

    https://www.amazon.com/Northpole-Li...1&field-lbr_brands_browse-bin=Northpole+Light

All my pods are from them, as is the 40" on my roof basket.

Thanks. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I rarely check this page. I can get some better pics if still interested.

Yup, yellow fogs at right around 5:30 too. I saw it coming down the hill and I said hey this guy has yellow fogs like i do lol. I may have missed it, but with the TSB, the OL, and the AAL how much lift did you get in the rear?

The same shit everyone else has.
    Definitely me then.

Hard to say exact numbers. Never really measured. 2" out of the block and add a leaf + probably another 1/2"-1" out of the TSB leafs.

The truck has factory looking lrake with 5100s set at .85 + Eibachs + 1/4" top plates up front. Without the blocks, the truck sat perfectly level.

I'd say the rear is almost 3" over stock with the blocks.

You may wanna explore air bags or a new leaf pack if you plan on carrying alotta weight under the cap.

When I pack my truck for full of camping gear, it levels out and you can tell its got a buncha shit in the back. The TSB springs bring the height back up, but still cant handle the weight (like all Toyota leafs).

I need to update this thread with some new pics. Ive built a roof rack, repainted the wheels, added a 2nd battery, added a buncha gear to the bed, got into a fender bender, had the truck fixed, and redid the retrofits since the last pictures....:goingcrazy:

Well I havent updated this in a LONG TIME now.

I sold the Bestop and added a Leer shell w/ a Rhino Rack HD track and cross bar system. Added a 40" single row LED light bar to the roof, along with a Prinsu inspired fairing, and a DIY roof basket. Finished the dual battery set up. Put the Satoshi back on. Added an awning to the shell. Upgraded the front brakes to Powerstop pads and rotors. Redid the OBA set up. Added a DIY bed slide. I did a buncha other things Im forgetting too Im sure.

I spent a ton of time living outta the back of this thing this past year on the weekends camping and fishing.

    Thanks.

I started prepping for the 285s tonight, didn’t get very far...

My plan is to set the LCAs as far forward as possible and do a DIY alignment. Looking to gain space between the tires and the back side of the fender while still keeping 3+ degrees of caster.

Went to spin the first alignment cam. Frozen solid.

Guess I have an excuse to replace the lower control arms with new ones and replace the alignment cams/hardware now.
