Ran the trail from the Tahoma side yesterday. Made it to Miller lake where I decided to have lunch and turn around. Still a fair bit of snow on the trail. Compared to the pictures I saw of the snow from last weekend, it seems it's melting fast.

i would like to make a trip to Sawmill or Faucherie Lake. I checked the forest service website says snow past mile post 6. Anyone know where mile post 6 is? i called the ranger station past few days and no response. Thanks in advance.

I got a little past little sluice and turned around since I did a day trip. My buddies kept going to buck and turned around. I'm sure by 4th of July the whole trail will be passable.

I don't think the website is currently updated. So if what I circle is milepost 10, 6 would be way below.

A friend told me there was very little snow. This is their photo taken 6-10-23 weekend. Sawmill and beyond may be possible.

Planning to run Blackwood Canyon to Ellis Peak again on 7/2 in South Lake Tahoe. Maybe go down via Buck Lake. There is still snow up there so who knows how far we can get. In any case it should be an adventure. DM me for details if you want to join.

I cut some 16ga plate to mount the parking sensors, taped them in place and they worked fine in testing. I'll weld the plates and some zip tie tabs in this weekend. I zip tied the BSM sensors in the pockets of the bumper where the two tubes curve under the taillights and they worked for a day and then I got an error. I ordered a cable and I'm going to try to recalibrate them and clear the codes this weekend with techstream.

Looking to head out to gold lake 4x4 campground with the with the wife and pups on 6/30 in the afternoon. I know being the 4th weekend it's probably going to get pretty fully . Is the 30th still early enough to secure a spot or should we try to head out a day earlier ? I've only been out there once so not sure how it gets. Thanks !
