Quick update, first huge thank you to @SwagThor (Todd) and @essjay (Chris) for the help with the bumper install. Cutting your frame wasn't the easiest, but with Todd's plasma cutter it made the first part fairly easy--cutting the cross member. Adjusting the frame for the bumper took much much longer.

Again thank you to you both, we worked for like 8 hours in about 105-107F most of the day. The bumper came out awesome and with all that cutting and the bumper being fairly minimalist I think I've added 70-80 lbs to the back. Somehow MPGs still took a hit, I don't even look at those anymore, it might be the 9inch wide rims.

Huge upgrade, full size spare now, and 703 methods for that lower air pressure. New set up ate up Niagara Rim and got some scuffs on my rims so no one thinks of taking them :)

Most of the trail is typical Sierra wheeling but there are a couple of obstacles and a river crossing that can ruin your day quickly.

Our weekend fishing trip failed due to ice on a washed-out shelf road and a locked gate on the alternate route, so I linked up with @530Taco, @SwagThor, and @71tattooguy in the Eastern Sierras, and then rolled down to Lee Vining for a burger and a shake at Mono Cone, and up Tioga Pass and out to Hetchy-Hetchy. I really need to find a dogsitter for some trips, because, even if she could go with us on hikes in National Parks, she simply doesn't weather the altitude too well once you get over 5000 or so feet.

Bouldering on weekends you don't even need to bring a pad around here. lol

I've done a lot of climbing all over the US. Bishop is where that road trip ended. My favorite route in the Sierra is here. The East Ridge of Mt Humphrey.

The view from the top is hard to beat.

It's a really fun route. The elevation gain and length make for a long day. If you need any beta shoot me a PM.

That climb looks like it has some fun exposure. I try to get to Bishop every year but I missed last year because work was too crazy.

Funny. I try to get up to the Tahoe area every year to do some climbing. Having the Leap that close is amazing. That crag deserves all the hype it receives. This coming from an old crusty Gunks climber. lol

Heading up to Tahoe for the next couple weeks. I plan on doing some light exploring off road - just to play. - likely NOT the Rubicon trail!

The altitude is a killer - and it hot too... but I've got the mtb too.

Any recommendations for trails? ( Both for Taco and MTB!)

I went to school not far from the Gunks. Only got to climb there once. I'm not much of a climber so it was pretty special.

It truly is a special place. There's not many places in the world that you have very easy climbs right next to very hard ones. There's also very few places in the world that have overhanging 5.4's. lol

I popped up to Strawberry Pass/4WD this weekend. It's been totally gutted post-Caldor and the dozers but it's still beautiful and the snowmelt ruts make for some fun off-camber activities.

I'm honestly a really terrible judge of difficulty but I can say I didn't really have any issues. I'm running 35s, though. I think the last picture is the only potentially challenging spot and you can mostly straddle it without dropping into the rutt, so I imagine you'd be fine on stock fires.

Tell you what: you get stuck, shoot me a DM and I'll come grab you. I'm only down in South Lake.
