I have never in any vehicle I've owned attached any mount using one of those sticky hooks or tabs some devices come with. Now I'm temped but it's extremely important that I can remove it when I no longer need the device.

Has anyone stuck on a GPS/radar detector/phone/gauge/etc. mount and been able to remove it successfully with no scar? How? Could you do it with floss and some rubbing alcohol? I don't want to permanently scar my dash.
