Blah blah blah, my Raptor is better than your Tacoma....

Different classes of vehicle dude. Not comparable.

Also, V6 Tacos can out tow the Raptor. So there's that...

Yes, they're both if different classes but I'm comparing dollar for dollar. These dealer mark ups are putting them comparable to a Rapator price. Which is a far better vehicle, for the price. I would know, I have both trucks.

Where did you get your info on the Taco out towing the Raptor? That's about the dumbest thing I've read today. The Taco is gutless in comparison. 278hp and 265 torque compared to 450hp and 510 torque. The torque is what you want for towing and it has nearly double. Max tow capacity is 6,800 compared to 8,000. At least try to know what you're talking about before you blindly make statements.

I've got literature here stating the Raptor tows at 5000.

Please, try to know what you're talking about before blindly making statements. :duel:

EDIT: looks like the new Raptor can tow at 8000. The outgoing one is 5000. Oops.

If it was me, I'd do as you said, buy the truck from elsewhere without the markup, and then I'd go visit Beaver and say hello.

I did the short math.... you would have to have over $6,000 worth of non-warranty work performed to pretty much break even on the “Rental Warranty”. I don’t know what the time limit is, but I suspect that would be 5 years or under. That would mean you are pretty much looking at two years of usable time. If you have that many issues/visits and 6K of work... you probably bought a lemon.

Aren’t they all? The only difference is how much lube and how long they ride.

You want sticker price shock, the last vehicle I bought was a 98 Wrangler for less than $14,000.

Isn't the air ~80% nitrogen - so that should be closer to $20.
