With my new suspension I'm now at exactly a 2" lift up front (22" from hub), but now I want more tar. I need more tar.

Currently running 255/75R17 ATM's which measure at 32.1". They look small to me.

Whats a man gotta do to get a 285 to fit on a 2" lift? I'm ready to CMC and saw off any plastic I got to. I have the TRD SEMA wheels. I'm not sure of their offset, but I do know they stick out farther than stock.

While I don't do any hard wheeling, I do weekend-warrior forest roads, so it will be flexing from time to time.

Also, those SEMA wheels are 7", which is .5" below any manufacturers spec for 285. Is this going to cause any major issues? I've read some Jeep threads where guys do it all the time with no issue.

Yes, I know 255/80R17's are awesome, but I'm trying to come up with ways to avoid throwing 60lb tires on my daily-driver. 285/70R17 has way more choices.

Is this a pipe dream I should just let go?

My Bilstein 6112's are currently at ring #3. I suppose theoretically I could set them to #4 for more lift, but I'd rather chop to avoid the extra preload.

It sounds like you have it figured out. Rather than try to guess where to trim in preparation for the tires, I would install the tires first. That will allow you to see exactly where your rubbing will occur. Mark and trim accordingly. Good luck.
