Lately the speedometer has appeared to be sticky - especially when decelerating. I think I may have noticed it in the tach as well, but I can reproduce it in the speedo pretty consistently. Has anyone else experienced this? I have about 25000 miles on 2017.

Issue 2: Dealer is 70 miles away, but happened to be in town for business and stopped in. They hadn't heard of that before (big surprise!) could I reproduce it with a tech. No problem, can do. Sorry, you will need a "master tech" for that and they're all really busy, and about to go on break. Can you come back another day? Sure, I don't have anything better to do than another 140 mile round trip.

Issue 3: Have all dealerships gone to young (read not very experienced), female (prejudiced perhaps, but doubt this gal knew which end of the wrench dispensed grease) service managers?

    End of rant.

Is your nearest dealer 70 miles away? In case you didnt know, (many people don't), you can take it to any dealer, not just the one you purchased from.

On the other point, the idea of having a young female as a service manager or service writer is that most guys will not yell or curse at a female, therefore most issues will go unresolved due to the customer just letting it go. Really bad issues or hot head customers end up going to the next highest manager, which he will basically have the power and the balls to tell that customer he is no longer welcome at that facility.

My SR started doing this about a month after I bought my truck. I took a couple of videos on my phone and my local dealer ordered a new cluster. Because they have to program the mileage on the new cluster they have to park your rig. They gave me a loaner and 2 1/2 weeks later I got my truck back. On the plus I put a bunch of miles on the Nissan Frontier they rented for me from Enterprise. Knock on wood that has been the only issue with my truck.

Other close dealers are also 65-90 miles distant. I have business in the general direction of this dealer, and they had pretty good rep.

Try another dealer, sounds like the first one can’t be bothered. Don’t write off the female advisor right away, she might know more than her coworkers! She may also be more sympathetic to your issues than a cocky young dude who has ‘arrived’.

Lemme know what they tell you when you get it fixed! I was convinced it had to do with the truck breaking in until your post. Im on my third cluster noticed a slight notch the other day. I'm at 15 truck seems to have finally broken in. Thinking it has something to do with vaccum or air intake not a macanic though lol. When I was having issues it seemed like the truck was just struggling to get air like an old carb running rich. Opened up in the last 5k.

I wonder if it has something to do with temp - only 37 degrees this AM, and it didn't do it. Think I started noticing it a few weeks ago when I took the truck to Louisiana. But, last evening, both speedometer and tach were jumpy as I decelerated. I'll keep you posted . . .

Thanks! It definitely has to do with temp! Cold mornings and warmer afternoon makes it happen. While the truck is warming to running temp maybe humidity too?
