Hey guys, I am updating this after about ~500 miles or so of driving.

The steering has finally softened up on me, I assume there was a break in period I didn't know about.

So for those who experience the same technicality, have no fear.

Thanks for the tips and suggestions everyone :)

Awesome to hear it's working. Looking at this kit as an install project i. The coming week. ny other issues arise besides the hard steering?

not really, the only other issue i noticed was that my AALs are getting squeaky and I'm not a fan of the finish on the AAL hardware.

the finish on the AAL clamp bolts come off easily and are starting to show surface rust on the heads. P.S. i live in Florida so no salt roads.

Yet, not an Icon related issue I believe Deaver makes and supplies the AAL.

This happened to me the moment I installed my Dirt King UCA/LCA combination package. I would chalk the harder steering up to an increase in firmness of bushings as well as added stiffness within the uniballs. You are fine. If it bothers you a lot I would spray Teflon lube on the uniballs often until it starts feeling like things are freeing up. That is, if they do. The other side of the coin is that that's how they inherently are and will always be like that. Then you might just have to live with it.

    My steering eventually softened up.

    How about yours 12TRDTacoma?

It caught me by surprise because after being on this site for so long, I've never encountered a thread that ever voiced this problem.

Mine is still too new. I need to go to the hardware store to go pick up some Teflon spray. I honestly do not mind the stiffer feel though. To me it's more confident.
