yep. Had a black Rubicon, got a good deal on it. I buy based on deal I am getting more than the color. Wash, wax use the shit out it and repeat. Life is full of scars. Enjoy. Some have professional detailers do their thing twice a year. Something to think about.

 

As others have mentioned, black and darker colors are really hard to maintain. +1 for ceramic coatings to help a bit.

 

At the end of the day, with all the small nicks and dust spots and splash of dirt showing up,
it still looks better than 90% of anything else out there.

 

My first Tacoma was a 2016 in Barcelona Red and didn’t know much about ceramic coating and was talked into getting it done. At the time I didn’t think it did much. Then I got my Black 2019 and decided not to get it done. Then I realized how much the ceramic coating protects and wished I had it done when I bought this one. I agree when the black is all cleaned up it looks amazing.

I do agree: Black does look good when dirty; my Passport is black. I did not think I would like the black; however, comments in the thread are correct. Black looks good when maintained.
