Hello all ... I am still dreaming about buying my first Tacoma ... and it will be my first Toyota too!

Been buying Nissans, Hondas, and Subarus for decades, but the Tacoma is what I will be looking to buy very soon!

My goal is to get one because I'm a fisherman (go figure  ) and I want to get back on the sand. I see lots of Tacos on the beaches in Delaware and Maryland ... I like how they look, their size, and the decent fuel economy, and hey, what's not to like. Now I just gotta figure out the details, like SR5, TRD, 2.4 or 2.7, manual (my preference) or auto ... I'm leaning towards something in the 2005-2007 years, to get the newer design and save a few bucks too.

This site looked pretty cool, and I'm a forum junkie ... mostly fishing (go figure ;) ) so here I am

Well, I didn't get a Tacoma after all, but I have really enjoyed reading this forum anyway :)

What I got was a 4Runner, which I guess is a lot like a Tacoma if you lift the body off the frame ;)

I think I'd have gotten the Tacoma if they had just kept the cool styling of the pre-2005 models and then added all the cool features and drive train of the newer models.

    Well, take care all!
