STILL having idle problems..

About 6 months ago my truck isles 2-2300 rpm...new (used) throttle body and same thing...ship found no leaks or anything and said both throttle bodies were bad...wow....got another one and it idled at 1500...whatever I dealt with it...I just cleaned my tb and lightly cleaned the iac and now the idle is acting strange......in gear (1st) going very slow it's like 1k rpm and as soon as I stop and put the clutch in it spikes upto 1700....if I put the ac in it's about 1500...what gives?!? I doubt 3 different Iac valves are defective

 

throttle cable sticking? unhook it and recheck idle.

 

It's not sticking...no idea what it is I feel like I have tried everything

 

Wel yesterday idle started coming down to about 1500 but today it's fluctuating and flying up to 2k

 

Are you using factory parts or parts store parts?

 

You might want to remove the TB and IAC again and give it a very deep cleaning. It almost sounds like you have a carbon deposit problem.

Is there a way to manually adjust the idle? I don'tknow if there is a set screw like how they have on Honda's. Might be worth looking into.

 

Yes all the throttle bodies were oem but used...the rpm fluctuates between 1500 and 1900 when j first start it it's only at 1k...immediately spikes up coming to a stop....power steering pump still sounds like it's gonna explode too

 

Yup nothing ...strongly considering putting in a jdm import motor...1k under 50k miles....wouldn't leak oil would have ps pump...throttle body...ac confessor would t squeal
