    I would be fine:

All of these Tacoma owners, complaining about how they don't have enough power, big wheel wells, throw 1800 lbs of gear in their truck, and shatter an 8" ring and pinion probably should have bought a bigger truck.

Looks beautiful out there. Maybe you haven't been to the east coast and seen it in person, but it really is tight. Those videos you linked don't help your argument any because it's all wide open. Just this weekend I went wheeling and one spot in particular was tight for the 3rd gen 4runner I was with. Was REALLY tight for me and I honestly didn't think I could get through but after a 10 point turn and sliding off my armor I made it. There just aren't trees on the west coast like there are here. Plain and simple, a full sized can't fit without inevitable body panel damage which is what I'm saying. We've gotten off track though.

Actually, a bunch of the videos I posted show the Tundra fitting through tight jungle trails on Guam and narrow shelf roads. Second gen Tacomas aren't exactly small vehicles themselves and it doesn't seem like your Tacoma escaped significant damage either.

That's what I was getting at is you and I have very different definitions of a tight trail. And the fact that my tacoma got damaged just drives my point home even further. If my tacoma couldn't escape damage, then a full sized would likely be even more fubar'd. Anyways, have a fantastic Navy day Dirk.

    2018 - Tundra Crew Cab 4x4 - Payload =1490 - 1600
    2019 - Tacoma Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 SR/OR- Payload = 1175

That's still a minimum of 315 lbs difference. A lil over 25% increase.

To answer the OPs question, I ran bags with Dakars before. They Worked well.

My truck has now become a wheeling rig. It’s still heavy and I do tow from time to time. I’m now rocking Full HD Dakars with the add a leaf.

Like everyone else said, you need some weight in the front with the 886s. And you simply have a LOT of weight in the bed.

Dakars are great, but they are not magic. If it were me, I’d get the weight in the front, do the add a leaf, then see where you sit.

Sorry to get off topic with the silly Tundra stuff. I was tagged in here and didn’t look at what the thread was

Vehicle doesn't matter. Weight doesn't matter.
You put "heavy duty" springs on your truck. Guess what? You need heavier duty springs. There are plenty of trails I can take you on at least four off road parks that a Tundra would be fine on.

OP, you seriously need a new spring pack designed for that much weight. I recently modded my Dakars with a few extra springs and I do not recommend that to most. Best bet is to get the rear end weighed at each corner and have Deaver custom make you a pack. It well give you the best ride quality and service life for your use.
