Put in a sell to sell my specific tax lot of CTXR (my lower priced shares) then changed the limit price to sell about an hour later to a higher amount. Well, i guess Fidelity didn't keep my specific tax lot because when i checked the sell, they sold 75 shares of my highest priced shares for a loss. F Me.

 

.... win win? You got to sell for the same money in the bank AND now you have tax losses you can use

... unless you were trying to use some tax losses already. Ah well.

Edit: TD is really bad at keeping everything about a trade when you try to edit it, whenever I try to modify an open trade everything goes haywire (or just back to the defaults).

 

Its my Roth so there are no tax loses.

I literally just changed the price of the order and i'm guessing it took everything back off and sold whatever it wanted to when i changed the price. It was only a $-70 loss, but still.
