Because if you halt the mining of bitcoin...the value of existing bitcoins goes up..
The issue was they forced the selling of coins because they are prohibiting private ownership in china...
The believe of some (me) is that the CCP wants those coins out of private hands and in their hands..the CCP is buying the dip they forced..
