Hey I redid my kitchen mostly myself. Zero experience. I had a Home Depot book. Replaced a bunch of 2 x 3 studs that’s right that’s how old my house is 1954 bitches. Married some studs to straighten the walls. Built a new header over the doorway and expanded the door to the living room. Hung all the drywall, removed all the two wire aluminum and ran the new electrical. put in GFI. put in these things called nail guards that most of you have never heard of. Interesting story when we were demoing there was a fluorescent light mounted underneath one of the cabinets in the kitchen. We didn’t realize that it was hard wired directly to the breaker box on the other side of the wall. My friend dropped the light when it slipped out of his hand. It swung along the floor and tapped the public water supply line for the house and ZAP grounded into the pipe. It arc weld cut and melted a pin hole through it. I come home from Home Depot to my friend with his thumb over the pipe screaming you have to call the town to turn off the water. It was like the fucking Three Stooges. We eventually finish that kitchen and now it’s beautiful.

 

Married some studs to straighten the walls. The amount of gay jokes in that sentence alone is astounding.
