Why 57.5? Just curious as my wife and I are on track for the month after our 58th birthdays (for pension reasons).
We are currently 47 and in good shape to make that goal. We might go earlier, but it depends if our youngest children are financially independent by then

57 1/2 is when I will be able to withdraw from my TRAD IRA penalty free. I was born in Dec so retiring in June when I'm still reasonably fit will leave me plenty of time to go chase high alpine Golden trout. lol

Heading up to ice and deep creek lakes area
And stopping by coon lake. Last year they where getting into 16-19 inch goldens up there.

If you ever make it to the Sierra let me know. I'll give you the skinny on where to go to get 14-18" fish with zero fishing pressure. I actually found a new lake on this last trip that's absolutely amazing. Well, it's 4 lakes in a canyon actually but holy shit there's some big Goldens in that water. The best part is they are guarded by a 12880' pass and CADFW lists them as fishless.

I'll be going back soon with the intent of just fishing. I only got about 30 minutes in this trip because we needed to beat feet to get to our planned camping area that day. I did manage a 14" Golden that was not a hybrid. Pure strain and it was one of the small ones I put my jig over. lol

Don’t fear GME holders. I saw the person using extensive analysis saying 208 was the low before upward movement this week has adjusted that low to 204. So we are good.
