Catching up on the ride home from Cape Cod. We had our annual family get together after postponing it last year. Tubing in the intertidal river with the tides. Beers burgers dogs. Beers. Cornhole (I was on fire). Got to ask the wife “Who’s driving home?” Her. Green light to drink until the car doors shut.. stuffed to the gills. Someone had the nerve to make homemade potato salad with thick cut bacon.

Weenie dog is getting older and his eyesight isn't 20/20 anymore. He was starting to have trouble using his bedside stairs so I hacked together a ramp for him out of garage scrap. He's much happier.

Got a little lazy at the end and quit drilling pilot holes for the screws. It was 107 in my garage and I'd had about enough lol

Does he use the paper ream box as a bridge from the ramp to the bed?

That was a temporary solution while we tried to figure out the best way to help him mind the gap. My GF stuffed a couple pillows in there now and it's working well.

Or just buy a bed that isn't 34" off the ground lol. Or make the dog sleep on the floor, but that would insult him haha

My dog sleeps on the floor of my kids room...serves as an alarm and doesn't bug us for food in the morning...I know the dog is a good guard dog because I had to fix something on the window from the outside one night and I would have been scared off by what I heard from the dog inside...

Are we sure this is a dog and not actually a cat bending you to its will? :D

My old girl has always slept on her own bed on the floor, it’s just how we’ve always done it.

    CD591402-677F-42DB-AA93-0A69648E32AC.jpg

When we had a couple cats years ago, they - as is normal - did whatever the fk they wanted. Though one did get to fly across the room one morning. It must’ve thought our sleeping in had delayed its breakfast quite long enuf. Getting batted on my nose sent the critter out of the room via Kitty Airmail.

    keeping jersey dirty
Yea we got a groundhog and tons of rabbit (turns out rabbit really do breed like rabbits lol) that would be an issue. I was thinking more like poured concrete floor half underground for temp stability and to pair with a cellar for alcohol and cured beef typa thing anyway. Kinda pipe dream level that i'll probably never actually do but idk if i'm gonna put good money into it might as well go hard. The bees got me kinda hooked on the livestock/agricultural shit
